Planteria Assistant, 20-30hrs, includes weekend work,
This is a seasonal position however a permanent role would be considered for an experienced plant person.
Plant knowledge is essential for this customer facing position. This position will require you to assist our customers with making the correct plant purchase, give the correct advice and promote sales. Duties will include collecting trolleys, watering and feeding plants, labelling plants, sweeping the planteria and maintaining displays. Planting up tubs, baskets, troughs etc. with the ability to work at speed to produce high quality well presented products. Part of the interview process will include a short plant identification test.
2 x Sales Advisors, Part time/Full time, weekend work required, Permanent
Must have retail experience, be able to give excellent customer service and have the ability to be versatile as we have a diverse range of departments, furniture, gifts, interiors and clothing. You will be a good communicator and enjoy promoting our Gardeners Club and associated promotions. You will need to regularly update your product knowledge of new stock arriving to encourage sales to our customers on the shop floor. This role involves full interaction with customers on a daily basis on our shop floor. A proven track record in sales would be advantageous.
Florist, 20hrs over 5 days and includes weekend work, Permanent
We are looking to recruit an assistant to work in our expanding Dried & Silks department. Applicants must have retail experience and excellent customer skills but more importantly we would expect experience in floristry and a real flair for arranging flowers. You will be required to give regular demonstrations and produce floral displays for sale and display. You may be required to assist in the outdoor plant area during the busy season. Other tasks will include pricing, merchandising and putting stock out. This job would suit a candidate that has an interest in floristry and enjoys working with the public.
Farm shop Assistant, 4 days, 16hrs, Includes weekend work, Permanent
Are you a foody? Do you enjoy sharing your cooking and food experiences with others? If you have an interest in specialist foods as well as a desire to talk up our food department we would love to hear from you. Must have retail experience, be able to give excellent customer service and you will need to regularly update your product knowledge of new stock arriving to be able to encourage sales. You will be required to hold regular food tastings, date check food and ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are met at all times. Must be able to display and price stock and make up hampers on request. It would be advantageous to have till experience.
Baker, 20hrs, 4 – 5 days per week, Permanent
We are looking for an experienced baker to join our busy bakery department within the kitchen. This new team member will work alongside our existing bakers to enhance our offer. The successful candidate should have a genuine interest in baking and should ideally have the ability, creativity and flair to improve our customer offer and enhance their existing choice. Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous.
