Country Park

While it may seem unusual to find a garden centre in a 65 acre country park, we believe it is one of the features that makes Brechin Castle Centre locally unique. Our visitors can make a day of it and combine a gardening or gift shopping outing with a leisurely meal, then enjoy a gentle stroll around the ornamental lake or visit the pets in the pets corner, the children can enjoy an adventure in our Dragons Lair playpark.

Particular attractions include:

• Dragons Lair play area
• Ornamental lake with a model boat racing club every Sunday and Wednesday afternoon
• Nature trails around the lake and wetland area
• Model farm with walks of up to 3km around the animal paddocks and through the farm steading and static display of vintage farm implements
• Tame and friendly animals including goats and rabbits in our pets area
• Picnic area with sheltered section

Lots to do for children during the school holidays:

• Barrel Train Rides
• Aerial Slide
• Jumping Pillows
• Activity Castle
• Tractor Raleigh
• Sandpit
• Model Farm

The tractor & cart will be running most weekends and every day during the school holidays, from 12pm to 4pm (weather permitting).

Enjoy a lazy day in the sun while the children play - when visiting the farm, we think you will find the park well worth a visit.

The Country Park is accessed through the main centre and should the weather take a turn for the worst, you can quickly retreat to the comfort of the restaurant.

Admission to the Country Park

Admission to the Country Park is through the centre buildings where tickets are available for purchase:

AS THE PARK HAS AN OPEN LAKE, ALL CHILDREN UNDER 12 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
